Water Baptism
Every person who has repented of their sins and has faith in Jesus Christ to save them from their sins…
“Peter replied, ‘repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.‘”
— Acts 2:38-39
As soon as you believed. Baptism does not make you a believer; it shows that you already are a believer.
“Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.”
— Act 2:41
“Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, ‘Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?’ And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.”
— Act 8:35-38
In the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, baptism symbolizes the burial. Baptism symbolizes our own death to sin and a new life in Christ. It symbolizes the inward cleansing and forgiveness of sin that we received in Christ.
“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
— Romans 6:3-4
Register at the Welcome Desk or with the button below. Baptism Candidates must attend one virtual orientation session. Virtual orientations take place on Zoom and are scheduled at least one week prior to the next scheduled baptism service. Orientation will take approximately one hour.
During orientation, you’ll discuss the importance of baptism in further detail, ask any questions you may have about baptism and receive instructions for that day.
If the scheduled virtual orientations do not work for you, please contact Ministry Operations Manager, Priscilla Moore (pmoore@embassycentermke.org)

We encourage you to invite your friends and family to attend service to witness your baptism. Friends and Family can watch alongside the congregation in the Sanctuary during service.
Reserved seating will be available near the baptism pool for those who would like to witness up-close. A photographer will be available to take pictures of your baptism. Unfortunately, friends and family will not be asked to remain in their seats so that the photographer can capture pictures. A link containing the pictures will be emailed to you within 1-2 weeks after the baptism. You are welcomed to print and/or share these photos with loved ones.
Since baptism will occur during our normal worship service, friends and family will be able to watch from our Facebook Page or our website as we stream live weekly. (Please see our Photo and Video Policy on the About Us page of this website.)
Children ages 0-3 years old are not eligible for baptism at Embassy Center MKE. These children will be dedicated during our Baby Dedication where they will be prayed over publicly in the presence of the parents, godparents, family, and the congregation. We devote children to the Lord praying they will make a decision for Christ at an age of accountability (a point at which they can make a conscious decision to do so), live in relationship with Christ. Baby Dedication is a time where parents agree to raise their children to become Christians.
Children 4 years old and older must be able to understand and declare their understanding of salvation and water baptism. If you have additional questions about this policy, please contact the Ministry Operations Manager, Priscilla Moore (pmoore@embassycentermke.org). Parents/Guardians must sign a permission slip for any children 4-18 years old to be baptized

Baby Dedication
The next Baby Dedication will take place in Spring 2024.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
— Proverbs 22:6 NKJV
Why Do We Practice Baby Dedication?
- Jesus blessed children by laying his hands on them and praying for them. (Matthew 19:14-15)
- Children are a gift from God. (Psalms 127:3)
-
God instructs parents to train their children in His ways through understanding the Bible.
(Deuteronomy 6:4-7, Proverbs 22:6, Ephesians 6:4) - In the Bible, parents presented their children to God. (1 Samuel 1, Job 1:5)
- As your spiritual family/local church, we publicly affirm our support of your child and family.
Doctrinal Postion Concerning Baby Dedication:
The Assemblies of God (the cooperative fellowship of churches ECMKE is affiliated with) holds to a belief in Baby Dedication rather than baptism of children or infant baptism. We practice “Believers’ Baptism”.
Instead of “Infant” Baptism, we practice Baby Dedication. We pray over children publicly in the presence of their parents, godparents, family, and friends. We devote children to the Lord. We pray they will make the decision to choose Christ at an age of accountability (a point at which they can make a conscious decision to do so); and live in relationship with Jesus Christ. Baby Dedication is a time where parents and godparents agree to raise the child/children to become a Christian.
- Please arrive with your child(ren) at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel for check-in.
- Your family/guests can arrive for service separately. The sanctuary doors open at 9:40 a.m. If your family/guest choose to arrive early with you, we ask they wait in the atrium due to the limited space within the chapel.
- A photographer will be available to take a picture of each family. Pictures will be emailed to each family for you to distribute.
Families with children being dedicated are to wait for instructions. The officiating pastor will call you and your child(ren) forward by name. - Ministers will then pray over the children and families. Due to limited spacing, only the parents, child(ren) who are being dedicated and godparents are able to come to the front. All other family members/guests/friends will need to observe from their seats. The dedication ceremony will be available on the screens.
- Each family will receive a keepsake certificate.
Congratulations on your decision to have your child dedicated to the Lord! We are excited that you are committed to raising your child to decide to have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Baby Dedication Ceremony is a special time where the Pastors and fellow clergy pray over your child.
